Fall Color in Flagstaff

Curious about Fall color in Flagstaff?

Our very own Matt Beaty spent his Sunday morning on the Kachina trail and Aspen Loop at Snowbowl to capture some images of the color up there.

Aspen corner is doing well, still a fair amount of green. The drive up (before sunrise) and down (9:00am) was beautiful, but still lacking the deepest yellows and oranges of peak color.

Flagstaff is forecasted to have our first overnight freeze at the end of this week. If that freeze is accompanied by rain/sleet/snow (as is forecasted), we may see a significant decrease in color very rapidly from Friday through Saturday and Sunday.

Make sure to get to your favorite fall color spot soon! We hear that Lockett Meadow has great color right now, and the road IS open! We also hear that Hart Prarie is at peak right now.
