Fall color in Oak Creek Canyon

Today's guest  blogger is Tim Rodriquez, our Front Office Manager here at the Chamber.

The northern portion of Oak Creek Canyon is looking quite good pertaining to fall colors.  Yesterday (Sunday) Linda and I went for an early morning hike through West Fork.  Attached are images of the maples in this tributary canyon.  By next weekend, the colors should still be decent.  Just get there early!  We started our hike just before 8:30AM and had no problems parking in the lot for West Fork.  By the time we exited at around 10:45AM, the traffic jam trying to get in was awful, and neither one of us have seen so many cars parked along the highway north of West Fork!  The larger sections of colorful maples begin about 1.25 miles along the trail.  But, you do start to see them just as soon as you enter West Fork, too.

Thanks, Tim!
