 interAction – a human resource (HR) consulting company

 Length of time you’ve been in business: I’ve been in executive leadership HR positions in hospitals for over 14 years and in business for myself since April 2013.

Why did you get into your industry? What is your goal/mission? I switched my focus from executive leadership in nursing to HR in 1999 because I felt strongly that employees should have a voice in the board room along with finance and quality of care.
My current goal is two-fold – 1) Provide assistance in the way of policy/ practice development and training to help business owners protect themselves and their company so bad things don’t happen; 2) If bad things happen, assist the business owner in resolving the problem.

Your specialty – the reason people choose you: When it comes to human resources, you usually don’t know what you don’t know until it’s too late. By taking a proactive approach and having an HR audit of your business, you can improve your position for eliminating or minimizing legal risk. I have degrees in nursing, business administration, and organizational management and also earned my certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Coupled with 14+ years in executive level human resources, I have the expertise & knowledge to guide business owners through the unknown. We will focus on your people and putting the necessary things in place to help them become high performers and partners in elevating your business outcomes. And we will have FUN doing it!

Your favorite part about doing business in Flagstaff: Being able to live and work in the most vibrant and beautiful city in Arizona is a blessing. Getting to know other business owners, learning from them and discovering the wealth of resources for small business owners has been my favorite part of this new journey.

Who is your favorite local non-profit or charitable organization? Why? There are so many worthwhile and proactive non-profits and charitable organizations in our community and I am thankful for and salute all of them. My favorite is The American Red Cross, Flagstaff Chapter. I am humbled by their responsiveness to disasters & their professionalism and compassion during extremely stressful times. I so appreciate their proactive approach to disasters through the coordination of blood drives and offering CPR classes for the public.

Do you have any special events coming up? What are they? Any and every event that I am involved with is ‘special’! 

Your address and business hours: Currently, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but I am available to my clients whenever they call.
