FedEx team members to work with Quality Connections to renovate their Day Program facility.

WHAT:                FedEx team members from Flagstaff, are volunteering to assist Quality Connections with renovations to their Day Program facility.  The project will include improvements to the flooring, walls, doorways and ceilings.  The end result will be a more beautiful and functional environment for the people with disabilities who are served there.

Quality Connections’ Day Program provides a meaningful day to people with developmental disabilities through engagement in a variety of activities such as gardening, community participation, academic games, art, meal preparation, and other opportunities for fostering growth and fulfillment of individual potential.

Since 1999, Quality Connections has been providing supports and employment services to individuals with disabilities and disadvantages in order to increase both their independence and their participation in our community.

During the week of September 16, more than 4,000 FedEx team members from around the world volunteered and participated in local community service activities as part of the ninth annual FedEx Cares Week.

FedEx Cares Week celebrates the spirit of volunteerism, collaboration and community at FedEx.

FedEx Cares Week serves as a formal kick-off for the annual FedEx United Way volunteer campaign, in addition to providing an opportunity for FedEx team members to give back to the communities they serve.
